How to add EC_Class_Name property to Bolts and Supports
Is there a way to add the EC_Class_Name to other objects in the report session inside a model so I can group all items by EC_Class_Name in a report.
We are not using Project wise so is there a Schema file I can edit locally?

Viewport: How to show tangent lines on orthographic view?
Hello;
I am very new for using Autoplant Modeler Vi8 (Select Series 8), so can you guys please help me. I am trying to put a tangent line on my object on a viewport orthographic view but I having a problem to do it. Here are the examples. The one the left red circle has no tangent line and on the right with tangent line.

when I insert the component "Lap Joint stub end" ,the program place automatically another component : "lap joint flange"; where can I change this option and insert the "slip_on_flange" ?

AutoPLANT/ProjectWise reload references
Hi,
Using AutoPLANT SS8 V8i (08.11.13..211) with ProjectWise CONNECT Edition (10.00.03.49)
When working in a piping model, the Reload References pops up every time it is set to. It seems that even if user set it to 8 hours, it still keeps poping to ask for reload. Is there a way to avoid that windows never, ever popup?

关于OPM中弯头中心线偏离的问题

最近在使用OPM建立等级库的过程中，使用的管道标准是“GB/T 3091-2015 低压流体输送用焊接钢管”，管件的标准“GB∕T 12459-2017 钢制对焊管件 类型与参数”
SPEC使用中，管径小于DN65的长半径90°弯头的中心线总是偏的，所以在画管道的时候，弯头和管道接口的地方不能对齐，具体见图片，这应该怎么解决呢？在线急等！！！！

OPIM incorrectly separating material in BOM after inline instrument
If an inline component from the instrument module (i.e. orifice flange set) is inserted in a line, OPIM will separate the material after the orifice flange from other identical material. This material should be grouped as my BOM grouping is set to PARTID in the REPORT.DEF file. Please see report.def file and iso attached.

OpenPlant PID external datasource to Excel
Hi,
I want to add a picklist to some properties using an Excel external datasource. I've implemented it based on document "How to create a pick list on EC Property using External Datasource definition" and I haven't been able to make it work yet.
Would someone have an example of how to do that? How to setup the "External Datasource Definition Mapping" custom attribute. I suspect that my problem has to do with the connection string. So far, I've tried multiple combinations based on: Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=HA_PICKLISTS.xlsx;Extended Properties="Excel 8.0;HDR=Yes;IMEX=1".
Or is it even possible? Am I wasting my time trying to make this work? Any suggestions?

Material Grads found Blank to generate a new Piping specification in OPM
I am a new user of OPM and want to generate a new Piping specification in Spec Gen. of OPM follow the below steps
Open OPM spec Gen.
Add a catalog of ASME from Path (C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\Projects\OPModeler_MMetric\DataSet\Catalogs Databases)
Create new specification
Provide a new name to spec.
Add new section of pipe select values
new section created.
but when i want to change material grade it is empty.
Please help me how i can define the material grade like A53-B, A106-B, P91,P11,A312 TP304, etc

What are important parameter For LapJoint Stub End to its creation in OpenPlant Modeler
Hi,
I am creating a record for LapJoint Stub end along with flange but anyhow graphics/created element is not forming in entered dimension. It seems that there is some relation/equation that overrides its creation.
Parameter that I have included for creation.
Lap Joint Stub End:
Lap Joint Flange
Using this setting, element is formed as shown below.
It seems there is some relation that forms gap. Due to this component is not forming with corrected dimension as required.

what is important parameter that is missing here, that need to be taken into consideration.

How to draft pipeline in OPPID by MVBA code
Hello All,
I have some PSPID drawings, we need convert it to OPPID drawing.
I can get all PSPID pipeline vertics and pipeline information. I'm going to draft them again in OPPID by MVBA code. I have found the keyin command "DMSG ACTIVATETOOLBYPATH Process\Piping\Major Pipeline", but it will show the pipeline information dialog, it must click the OK by mouse and then continue. I was stopped here, how can let MVBA code to do "click OK"? Or if any other way?

X-REFs disappear from layer manager when Piping loaded

We have one model in one project that has multiple x-refs. When the model is opened in AP Modeler (without Piping module loaded) the Layer Properties Manager displays x-ref'd files.
Load Piping module and x-refs layers disappear from Layer Properties Manager. Detach and re-attach x-refs and referenced drawings do not attach.
Created exchange file and imported into new model in project but the issue persists in new model.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Standard Preference dialog, link to classes?
When you open task bars in OPM it associates itself with the Standard Preferences. I believe using the “Associated Task Panes” custom attribute it links the Task bar to the Piping Component Class. Properties on that class are then tagged with a “Standard Preference” attribute which defines which properties show up in the Standard preferences dialog.
When those properties are chosen by the user the program writes to a user file and saves the choice as “last used”. (C:\Users\swa65355\AppData\Roaming\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler\8.11\<project>\StdPref.piping_components.cfg)
This all makes sense on the surface. Now the following is what we did…
We created a new task bar for some of our Civil tools.
These tool classes are under piping components and associated with their own Civil Tools task panel.
When you select the task panel it even creates a unique StdPref.civil_tools.cfg to keep the “last used” properties.
Up to this point it works as expected. When I open the task panel it populates the standard preferences with “last used” items listed in the civil tools.cfg.
HOWEVER, at this point, when I pick a tool from the task panel the Standard preference dialog reverts to that of the piping components and populates itself with the list from the StdPref.piping_component.cfg.
In addition, any manual change I make to a property, such as Specification, writes back to that piping component.cfg instead of my civil tools one. The problem then arises that, because we have a unique civil spec for the civil tools” that spec now gets written to the wrong .cfg and when you switch back to the piping components task bar, your “last used” is populated with the civil details instead of what I would need for the piping components. This seems to defeat the purpose of having a “last used” user cfg file.
So the question is: How can I associate those specific tools to be linked with the task panel they live in, in terms of what it remembers for last used?
I feel like I’m just missing some association these new classes have to point them to the Civil tools instead of the Piping Components. I tried adding the Associated task panes and the Standard Preference custom attributes directly on the classes but that didn’t seem to make a difference.
Any ideas? Do you need more information?

It's not the 1st time when me and my colegues have lost levels and pipelines (tags) but have never lost it in HVAC systems. Maby someone will know the answer what to do. Model is attached.
