Just wondering if any else is running into this problem.
We have been using OpenPlant Modeler SS3 and SS5 for sometime now and are very unsatisfied with the out of the box
components and pipes. They work ok and we can get but, we feel we are under utilizing the products full potential.
Which brings me to the OpenPlant administrator training. We are a small firm with 9 techs that use Microstation and Openplant Modeler.
I would sign up for a full training subscription, which according to the learn server, includes Openplant Modeler Administrator SS5 Training.
When I asked about dates and times, I was informed by my account manager that this training was not included in the subscription and would be required to pay a minimum of $2000 a day for the 3 day training. Seriously. Almost the equivilent to the cost of my entire year long subscription training.
Seriously Bentley? We are not CH2M Hill or Bechtal? You want people to migrate to OpenPlant as one of your flagship products, but don't allow for the little guy to get trained.
So my real questions are:
- Has any other companies experienced this
- Are there any other alternatives, resources, and/or training on how to modify Openplant components/Catalogs/and specs.
- What are my options.
