In OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition, the requirement is to customize the pop-up toolbox.
Background
This document explains the procedure to add/remove tools from the Pop-Up toolbox that gets evoked upon hitting SHIFT Key + Reset (Right Mouse Button).
Steps to Accomplish
- Launch the desired CONNECT product, in this case, Bentley OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition.
- From Tools ribbon, expand your desired workset & select OpenPlant Modeler Click on Class Editor as shown below.
- From Customize Ribbon dialog, expand Drawing > View > Tools as shown below.
- Right mouse on Tools & select Remove as shown below.
- Once it has been removed it will start showing as Tools (Pending) as shown below. Click on the Apply option.
- Once the setting has been applied, pending text will be removed automatically. Click on Close, refer to the image below.
Note: Please note that the Apply option is greyed out which means previously done settings have been applied. - From same (Customize Ribbon) dialog, select View Tab> Right Mouse & select “Add New Group”
- Give the name as Tools as shown below.
- Tools group is selected, change the “Component from Buttons to Groups”. Refer the image below.
- From the list, expand Tools > Add desired tools from the list > Click on Add. Refer the image below.
- Once all the desired tools have been added from multiple available groups options, click on Apply as shown below.
- Once defined settings have been applied, click on Close.
- From OpenPlant Modeler window, search for Button Assignment as shown below
- Select the Button Assignments option.
- From Button Assignments dialog, select Shift + Reset & change the Action as shown below.
Action: ribbon grouppopup admin\view\tools.
Once Action has been updated, click on Save to save all the settings.
Verify the result upon evoking SHIFT Key + Reset (right mouse) & notice the available tools option.
