Add Tag to a Group of Components

Hello,

For OpenPlant V8i SS6 (or any newer version), is there a way to add a service tag to a group of piping components? 

As an example, I have a steam supply manifold for tracers and it has a service tag (Unit/Service Type/Unique #, XX-YY-ZZZZ) associated with it.  I need it to function exactly the same as a piece of equipment but I need to be able to generate an isometric of the components and the components must show up in a BOM report.  It would also be nice to be able to add tap numbers similar to equipment nozzle locators.  The service tag would need to have an origin so I could extract location data.
