How do I modify the GATSW symbol (or any valve symbol) to get it to dimension to the center of the valve?

I followed this wiki: 

But when I add an intersect point, i get this error when I generate the iso: GATSWerror[5]Unable to place symbol: GATSW

How do I modify the symbol to change where the dimension line connects to the symbol?
