I have a similar problem. Recently updated the database from ss3 to ss5. Had to ensure that there was no duplicate entries in the database. Once they were converted they made checking out the line that they were associated with impossible and I had no way of removing them in the new version.
Since the update openplant has somehow managed to check in items with the same key. These seem to be components that are a copy on top of each other. Once this happens the linenumber is not able to be check out of the database to fix the duplication.
Can you please advise how deleting the entries directly from the database work, was there any side effects with anything that had a relationship with the entries you deleted.
